About giclée prints
The word giclée is French and means a spray or spurt of
liquid. Giclee printing was once used as a proofing method for
lithography and turned out to be superior.
Giclée prints are generated from high resolution images
using professional, large format 8 to 12-Color ink-jet printers.
These printers are capable of producing incredibly detailed results.
The process provides better color accuracy, gamut, and vibrancy
than other means of reproduction. Archival quality pigment inks
are used with acid-free substrates, including canvas, fine art,
and photo-base papers.
Giclée prints are commonly found in museums, art and photographic
galleries.
Print sizes are only limited by the 66" roll of paper used,
and all prints have a 2" border.
