Quotes of Sant Kirpal Singh about Electricity and Radio

“The divine currents, like the ethereal waves of a radio, are spread out in the atmosphere in all the directions of the compass, giving out delectable strains of music. We, however, cannot catch the ethereal vibrations and listen to the divine melody until we get in tune with the Infinite by adjusting our mental apparatus. Therefore we become etherealized more and more as we come in tune with the heavenly music. Shabd is the connecting link between God and man. In brief, Shabd alone is the true religion- a binding force that rebinds us to our Source. All the powers of Nature depend on and work through this Shabd or the Sound Principle. The Pranas or the vital airs, that are the source of all energy-electrical, mechanical, magnetic or atomic-and are the most active agents in the physical material plane, are but an outer manifested form of the Shabd. Like the electric waves with which the whole atmosphere is charged, Shabd in its most subtle form pervades everywhere in Its fullness and is thus the Creator.”

“Our human body is a receiving set for catching the Sound Current and like a radio, has to be adjusted properly to bring it in tune with the ethereal waves.”

“All life and all power come from It. From the sun to the candle flame, all light comes from this grand powerhouse. The energy of the scientist and the pranas of the yogins are but manifestations of this life-stream which, like electricity in the air, is all-pervading and all-powerful.”

“Shabd brings in untold blessings. It is the powerhouse of all energy or force in any form, from Pranas down to electricity and magnetism. Every form of life is the manifestation of Shabd. All that is, is of Shabd and nothing is that is not of Shabd-life-current pulsating in and out of space. Those who commune with Shabd and live in and by Shabd are verily the children of the Supreme One, the life of life and the light of light. Shabd is the very Bread of Life which comes down from Heaven for all those who hunger after righteousness and the very Water of Life for those who thirst after Self knowledge and God-knowledge. True love, wisdom and power are the greatest gifts that one gets by basking in the sunshine of Heaven’s Light.”
- Naam or Word

“Before dealing with pranayam, it is necessary to know what the pranas (the vital airs) are, their classification and functions, etc., in the body and how they act and the things allied with them. Prana is the sum total of all energy that is manifest in the Universe, the sum total of all the forces in Nature. Heat, light, electricity, magnetism, gravitation, etc., are all manifestations of prana. All forces, all powers and even the pranas themselves spring from one and the same source-the fountainhead of atman. Prnn tatwa is much superior to manas tatwa or the mind-principle…”
- The Crown of Life

“Electricity is pervading all through Creation, but that does not do us any good unless it is collected together in some power house, and any switch which is connected with that power house does wonders for us.”
- Morning Talks

“The speed of attention is very fast. One can judge from the force of electricity; the pranas or life current have faster speed than electric current, and the attention is faster than pranas. With a radio set, one has to just tune it to a certain point and one can hear the sound immediately.”
- Protector and Protection

“Love is the electrical lift which enables us to scale the spiritual heights within by contact with the Divine Word so graciously given to us all FREE.”

Just a Memory – poem and artwork by Hanz

in this dream..
you’re riding a giant leaf.

down down,
floating down.

.

to the
sparkling sea….

diving in deep breath
-you can breathe!.

down you go still
and this you see

still, everything is still. soothing waves.
pure energy light

like yourself, floating still

floating down
down you go
.
to the
sparkling sea

floating on the leaf.

as a memory

you’ve never seen.

yourself.

just a memory..

Kabir

“At the time of Kabir Sahib there was a certain pundit or religious
teacher. His story is written in the scriptures, and it tells of how he
studied the holy and other books extensively and became the most
learned man for many miles around, so he called himself Sarbajeet,
meaning one who has won above all others. On completion of his
studies, he returned to his mother’s house. She was a follower of
Kabir Sahib, and he said to her, “Mother, I have become Sarbarjeet;
you should call me that from now on.” She replied, “I
will, if you can beat Kabir Sahib in knowledge.” Worldly
knowledge often encourages pride, and carelessly picking up his
books he said, “Oh, that is nothing,” and went off to Kabir Sahib’s
humble dwelling.

Kabir Sahib said to the young man, “Well, Punditji, what has
brought you here?” The proud pundit replied, “I am Sarbajeet,
and I have come to beat you in knowledge.” Kabir Sahib smiled at
him and said, “I do not want to argue over this, so you just write
down that Sarbajeet has won and Kabir has lost; and I will sign it.”
The pundit was very pleased that Kabir had given in so easily; he
quickly wrote the words and got Kabir to sign it. He went home,
and flourishing the paper at his mother, he said, “Now you will
have to call me Sarbajeet, for Kabir Sahib has acknowledged it.”
She took the paper and read aloud, “Sarbajeet has lost and Kabir
has won.” Unbelieving, he read it for himself, and said, “How is
this possible? There must be some mistake- I will go back to Kabir
Sahib.” On arriving at the Saint’s house, he blurted out, “Maharaj,
I made a slight mistake, so I want to rewrite the paper.” Kabir
Sahib amiably agreed, and signed the new declaration. When the
pundit reached home, his mother read the paper and said, “But it is
still written, ‘Sarbajeet has lost and Kabir has won.”’ In frustration
he shouted, “I will go again to Kabir!” and hurried off. It is a rule
with all great Masters that they never belittle a person, but with love
they make the people understand. If one does not listen even then,
they will go to the extent of operating, like a doctor who will do his
very best to cure a tumor, even if it means resorting to surgery. So,
with great kindness, Kabir Sahib pointed out to the pundit, “How
can your mind and mine become one? I say what I have seen, and
you say what you have read from printed matter.’”

“a kind of code that interconnects everything in the universe”

The late Rockefeller University physicist Heinz Pagels, like many other theorists, believed that quantum physics is a kind of code that interconnects everything in the universe, including the physical basis of life itself. In his book “The Cosmic Code,” Dr. Pagels, an ardent mountain climber, wrote:

“I often dream about falling. Such dreams are commonplace to the ambitious or those who climb mountains. Lately I dreamed that I was clutching at the face of a rock, but it would not hold. Gravel gave way. I grasped for a shrub, but it pulled loose, and in cold terror I fell into the abyss. Suddenly I realized that my fall was relative; there was no bottom and no end. A feeling of pleasure over came me. I realized that what I embody, the principle of life, cannot be destroyed. It is written into the cosmic code, the order of the universe. As I continued to fall in the dark void, embraced by the vault of the heavens, I sang to the beauty of the stars and made my peace with the darkness.”

Dr. Pagels was killed in a climbing accident in 1988.

Nikola Tesla meets Swami Vivekananda

Nikola Tesla and Swami Vivekananda

“In the early 1890s, one of the greatest scientists of the western world worked on a challenge thrown at him by one of greatest Indian philosophers. Nikola Tesla, the extraordinary inventor and father of electricity as we know it today, met with Swami Vivekananda – one of the greatest spiritualists of Hinduism. The Indian Swami offered him a treasure trove of Vedic wisdom about the matters of energy and matter, about how the vedic science considered the universe to be charged. Tesla promised the Swami that he would mathematically demonstrate that force and matter could be equated to potential energy in some fashion.

It was at a party given by Sarah Bernhardt that Nikola Tesla first met Swami Vivekananda. Sarah Bernhardt was playing the part of ‘Iziel’ in a play of the same name. It was a French version about the life of Bhudda. The actress upon seeing Swami Vivekananda in the audience, arranged a meeting which was also attended by Nikola Tesla. In a letter to a friend, dated February 13th, 1896, Swami Vivekananda noted the following: Mr. Tesla was charmed to hear about the Vedantic Prana and Akasha and the Kalpas, which according to him are the only theories modern science can entertain….. Mr. Tesla thinks he can demonstrate that mathematically that internal linkforce and matter are reducible to potential energy. I am to go see him next week to get this mathematical demonstration.”

Peerless men in their respective fields, Swami Vivekananda and Nikola Tesla frequented the same social circles while the Swami was in America from 1893 on and had several opportunities to discuss science and religion at length. Tesla met Swami Vivekananda in 1893 at the Chicago World Fair held in connection with the World’s Parliament of Religions. He could have also first met him in 1896, after Tesla attended the swami’s lectures in New York. Tesla was moved by these lectures . About a year after their meeting, Vivekananda was undoubtedly referring to Tesla when he told an audience in India: “I have myself been told by some of the best scientific minds of the day how wonderfully rational the conclusions of Vedanta are. I know one of them personally, who scarcely has time to eat his meal or go out of his laboratory, but who yet would stand by the hour to attend my lectures on the Vedanta; for, as he expresses it, they are so scientific, they so exactly harmonize with the aspirations of the age and with the conclusions to which modern science is coming at the present time.”

Essay on Man by Alexander Pope (part)

“God loves from whole to parts: but human soul
Must rise from individual to the whole.
Self–love but serves the virtuous mind to wake
As the small pebble stirs the peaceful lake;
The centre mov’d, a circle strait succeeds,
Another still, and still another spreads;
Friend, parent, neighbour, first it will embrace;
His country next; and next all human race;
Wide and more wide, th’ o’erflowings of the mind
Take ev’ry creature in, of ev’ry kind;
Earth smiles around, with boundless bounty blest,
And heav’n beholds its image in his breast.”

Something amazing that my brother wrote

“There was a man whose intellect was quick and logical and well suited to debate. One day a stranger engaged the man in conversation. Their discussion touched on many topics and eventually turned to the subject of ghosts. The man made it clear that he did not believe in such stories, and it was on this issue that he and the stranger differed. They debated for a very long time and it was clear to the man that he was convincing the stranger.  His argument became stronger as the discussion continued and the stranger grew more and more unsure of himself. After an hour or so passed, the stranger was out of arguments. “Your logic is sound,” he conceded with an expression of genuine submission. “You have convinced me.” The man felt proud of his accomplishment but humbly complimented the stranger on his efforts. “However,” the stranger said, “I, myself, died several years ago when I fell into a river and drowned.” He lifted his head and touched the back of the man’s throat through his neck with one finger. And the man wept for the first time.” – Ravi Zupa

I am That – Swami Rama Tiratha

I have no scruple of change, nor fear of death,
Nor was I ever born,
Nor had I parents.
I am Existence Absolute, Knowledge Absolute, Bliss Absolute,
I am That, I am That,

I cause no misery, nor am I miserable;
I have no enemy, nor am I enemy.
I am Existence Absolute, Knowledge Absolute, Bliss Absolute,
I am That, I am That,

I am without form, without limit,
Beyond space, beyond time,
I am in everything, everything is in me.
I am the bliss of the universe,
Everywhere am I.
I am Existence Absolute, Knowledge Absolute, Bliss Absolute,
I am That, I am That,

I am without body or change of the body,
I am neither senses, nor object of the senses,
I am Existence Absolute, Knowledge Absolute, Bliss Absolute,
I am That, I am That,

I am neither sin, nor virtue,
Nor temple, nor worship
Nor pilgrimage, nor books.
I am Existence Absolute, Knowledge Absolute, Bliss Absolute,
I am That, I am That.

The Form of Thought

The form of thought reflects the mind inside
the glass of life, and art is the design.
Combine the lines of time to see, complete,
the beat of heart, and feel, a need to sing.
For me it is this wave of thought compel
that rings the bell, and shakes to tell, complete
my self in freedoms wake, it was this song.

Thoughts, communication, health, and resonance. (Part 1)

I continue to find that the basic principle of common frequency that allows for radio communication, also applies to general forms of communication between humans. This has to do with the mental functioning as a variable regulation and distribution of the energy it receives. Channeled through attention, thoughts are the impulses of energy and collectively determine one’s mental frequency/frequencies which entrain(s) all systems of exchange. As the frequency of thought (impulses per duration) and the frequencies of thoughts (the resonance of each impulse) increases, so does the overall complexity of the representative pattern of thinking – similar to a Mandala, or a snowflake design which is a form of coherence within itself.

On the outer, practical level, this concept can be applied to solving the problems we face with miscommunication, at an individual and collective level, from micro to macro.  Just as the purpose of medicine is to restore the inherent harmonious order of an organism, so is the necessity of self-reflection or self measurement (meditation) to bring to conscious awareness one’s patterns of thought.

A healthy state is a condition of coherent wholeness, in which all parts of the totality share a common resonance. At the cellular level, if electrochemical communication becomes incoherent, the result is disease, decay, and death. At the outer level of human interaction, miscommunication often leads to misunderstanding, and if not corrected, to further degeneration, such as argumentation, hatred, and violence. If this inharmonious state is perpetuated more collectively in societies the result is war.
